Day 30 Final Day of 30 Days of Thanksgiving

Goodbye November...I am Truly Thankful

I did it!
30 consecutive days of blogging my thanks

It has kinda been like a roller coaster ride, one day up, one down, some days just spun around all together and then when its done you want to do it again!

Crazy life

I am starting this in the morning and will finish tonight

My first thankfulness today is for all the families of those deployed and being deployed and those that are gone or in the process of leaving.  I do not know the sacrifice first hand, but second and it is painful no matter how hard they "buck it up" and wear brave faces.  Please know my thankfulness comes from the very depths of my soul for all of you.

Now for the evening entry...

thankfulness for another day to stick around

for dinner in the crockpot when I got home from work

that my sister's sciatic pain is better

for laughter & lunch with a dear friend at ThaiRiffic in town

For the time to go to lunch

And for you, who actually took the time to read my ramblings

I will still be posting my photos and whatever pops into my mind.  December, here I come

Day 29 of 30 Days of Thanksgiving

Rounding the corner of November and ready to slide into December.

I chose this floral picture for the softness and the gentleness I feel when I view it.  Though my challenges are small in comparison to so many around me, sometimes life just is a little rough.

I will continue in my thankfulness, even though...I am sure you can fill in the blanks for yourself.

My thankfulness for today

For a full tummy and food to prepare

For the company of my companion in life

For friends

For family

For technology that allows me to learn online

For doors that can cut down on sound ;), kinda...

What are you thankful for today?

Day 27 of 30 Days of Thanksgiving

The Process is Almost Complete

The TDOT is almost complete

A month long project of blogging every day of thanksgiving, not so easy as I first thought.

For today, Sunday, I am thankful for:

A Thanksgiving holiday spent in the southland with my side of the family.  I miss them so much at times.

The warm gorgeous weather we have had the last couple of days

The continued changing of the colors all around me

My Maple trees in the backyard

Time to get out the Christmas decorations before the work week

A simple dinner

Our son helping put up the outside lights

My thankfulness is very 3D  many layers and appreciate them all

I think that's it for today

Day 20/30 TDOT

Latte Love

Only 10 more days to go...

Next week Thanksgiving Day, then on to Christmas...I wish for days past when the kids were younger & at home, because that meant there was an actual break or holiday vacations.  Now it seems we try to find time for the holiday season.  So, my challenge is to find the thankfulness in the midst of everyday life with the holidays still happening, just in a different way.

The first reflection of thankfulness is the time that I will take to spend visiting with family and friends.  I WILL TAKE the time ;)

Then another thing to be thankful for is the crisp cold rainy weather that usually accompanies this season.  It is turning green, beautiful green with the dust and dirt rinsed off.

And thankful for the special coffees that makes my mouth smile.

Thankful for the memories of past and the ones being made.

And now I am thankful to be able to process, edit and play with some photographs.
See you tomorrow

Day 19 and TDOT continues

Follow Your Heart

I am thankful for a day off of business

I am thankful for a husband who took the time to research something of only my interest to go seek out

I am thankful for safe travels from & back home

I am thankful for a warm fire which warms not only the home, but the heart

I am thankful for ingredients on hand to make a very tasty dinner

And I am thankful that a bed is waiting for me...I am tired and full

Now I ask you...what are you thankful for today?

See you tomorrow

Day 18 TDOT

Sometimes You Just Have To Look Down the Road

I heard someone say..."What if the only thing you had today is what you were thankful for yesterday?".

That gives me something to stop and ponder on.

While I don't actually list everything I am thankful for, I realize that I overlook so much that I truly do appreciate and can give thanks.

I could start with the family I am ever so thankful for
Then the friends, near, dear, far and virtual
My cat....loveable (whether he allows it not)
Our home, my refuge
Our business
Our employees
Our health
and then I could go on and on....
Now to remember with a truly thankful heart...
And I will continue to post, because I committed to...though I sometimes think I am sending these off to the air....so like a feather...I release this one

Day 14 into Thirty Days of Thanksgiving

Blushing Lotus

Even knowing I have many things to be thankful for, it is not always easy to bring them to mind when I sit down to do my entry.

after a brief intermission....

So, right out of the gate, I am thankful that I can figure out some of the techno challenges that come along, like why Time Machine quits backing up now and then.

Thankful for watching the colors change in the vineyards around here, spectacular.

Reboot....

And I am thankful for coming up with the above...stumbling over myself tonight.

Tomorrow hopefully, I will be more insightful.

Day 13 of Thirty Days of Thanksgiving

Fall Sunset in Morro Bay

Sunday and the end of a good weekend.

How can it be bad when I can see this out the back door where I work one day a month?

I am thankful to those that enjoy looking, enjoying and even buying some of my work.  It pleasures me to share it with you.

I am thankful to come home to killer chili made by my husband.

I am thankful that I can visit with our son at the dinner table.

I am thankful to close this day with a full heart.

Peace all...

Day 11.11.11

Thank You!

Today in the 11th day of Thirty Days of Thanksgiving in the 11th month of 2011, I celebrate Veterans Day.  My grandfather (top right) served our country after immigrating here from Switzerland.  My father (in the rest of the pictures), Semper Fi joined the Marines.  My son in law, Navy.  My nephew (in law) Marines.

So proud of them, thankful for all who have served and are still serving.

Day 10 of Thanksgiving for 30 days

Thursday the 10th of November 2011

An evening entry, which I have already determined is not the best time of day for me.  Time for a shower and wind down.

I created the photo above to illustrate a simple thought process for me.  In thinking of the theme of thankfulness, it is often an attitude or lack there of coloring my day.

On one hand I am thankful for all the colors, the abundance of life and details.

Then, on the other hand, I am thankful for the simplicity in the lack of vibrance that distracts from the important things only seen in black & white.

So I have learned to be thankful for both, as they each hold uniqueness.

And extremely thankful for someone who picked up the ball & ran with getting tickets to a concert I had dismissed as too much to deal with.  It was a welcomed treat beyond my words.

And on that note...buono notte tutti!

Day 9 TDOT

9 Days into Thirty Days of Thanksgiving...

Today I am thankful for today, this day, a new day

and for concert tickets to go see Pink Martini with someone I still consider family.

Thankful that the sun continues to rise and to set, without my help ;)

and for listening ears that take the time to listen...really listen

and for remembering all the good around me to smile about

I am very thankful
