Dew Drops & Reflections

We have had much rain this season.  Good for the land, good for our water table.  So instead of trying to replicate dew drops on flowers indoors, I grabbed the opportunity this morning as the sun spread across the yard.  So in between breakfast and laundry, this is what I found in my yard.

Shooting Flowers in Macro

This has been a good day.  It started with shooting some flowers with my macro lens and ended with editing and sharing.  A friend shared different varieties of daffodils from his and his wife's garden.  So many beautiful shades of color, textures and shapes.  And I bought some bright Gerbera daisies a day before.  So, I cannot let this beauty pass me by.  Hope you enjoy...I am off to bed.  TTFN

A Weekend Walkabout the Coast

The weather here was incredible on Saturday and I was feeling the need to get out and take in my local scenery and breathe the salt air.  I had learned of Cayucos Sea Glass Festival through Face Book and one of my favorite local stops the Brown Butter Cookie Company.  Of course I bought some...they are on their way, Ang ;).

So I decided on a destination and off I went with camera in hand.  I so enjoyed the "me" time...so here is some to share with you.

Black & White Wednesdays

Here it is Wednesday and I have come across a link from another blog that promotes "Black & White Wednesdays".  I have been wanting to join in for months.  The trouble is, by the time I remember, I am at work and not the time to get creative.  So I am taking a few extra moments at home to give this a shot.  I love looking at others work and creativity...so here I go and hopefully there will be more to come.
Have a great one everyone!

In the Back 40

There were acres of treasures to be found here.  I could have stayed & shot for days.  I will have to return.  This was on an original farmstead in the Gardnerville Valley, Nevada.
