Broken...but still beautiful

As I get ready to attend a memorial service, I am reminded that we can be broken from time to time, yet we still remain beautiful to those around us. My prayer is for healing and peace for those that are broken at this time.

There are no other words at this time...

Love in the Midst

This flower is named "Love in a Mist". A beautiful flower that a friend found and planted in our yard at the office. She nurtures it and it returns each year. It is a delicate, intricate flower in detail.

Just wanted to share one of my flowers. My thoughts, prayers are on those that are dealing with life's challenges, friends, friends of friends, their children, their parents, their siblings. There are many who come to mind....

I pray for peace "in the midst" and title this....

Art About Town in San Luis Obispo

I am excited to share with you that I was accepted into a local program that displays artwork around town of our local artist.
San Luis Obispo Art Museum's Art About Town

My daughter. Angela,  was contacted a year ago to particpate and I was her hands while she was out of the country.  So I got to know the program and I inquired about slipping in if a spot became open.  I was notified a week ago that I now have a spot and I am currently up at
Saldo/Stolberg Law Offices in San Luis Obispo.  And Angela is in with City Hall downtown.

Just thought I'd share it with you.

Anaheim Start of 2011 SX Season

 A week ago it started....

Every year at this time, the Supercross Season opens to a huge mass of fans, my husband being the number 1.  So we always make sure we attend the opener in Anaheim, as we have been doing for more years than I can remember.  It is always a great time to be with other fans of the sport, though the change through the years is amazing, as it is with everything.

This year anticipates to be widely followed with all the top riders back on the their rides for the season.

Dirt Rider writeup of the night

Some good reading in the above link.  Below is a quick glance at the article

1. Ryan Dungey is fast even without Roger DeCoster.

2. Ryan Villopoto hasn't lost a step.    The reigning champ!

We have James Stewart back...3. James Stewart is still the fastest man on the planet

4. Chad Reed will be in this hunt.

Chad was the only rider available to catch some shots of, thanks Chad!

5. KTM has some work to do.   KTM's new team leader, Roger DeCoster,

6. Ivan Tedesco is a player.

7. The 250 class looks to be another Pro Circuit party.   They finished 1-2-3, good job guys!

A fantastic lineup all the way around!!

Frozen Drops

A quick blog of some pictures I snapped before work yesterday.  We had clear skies which brings cold frosty mornings.  I couldn't resist grabbing the macro and tripod to see if I could find some treasures hanging on the bare Maple trees.  The sun popped up and before I was done shooting, the drops were thawing out and starting to drip.  Through the lens I could actually see bubbles inside the ice moving around.  Amazing things happen in the macro world.

Here are a few captures....and then it is time to run!  May your day bring you joy.

Hope you enjoyed the wonder of the macro world with me.  Cat
