2013 Gallery Images

Here are a couple more images that I have in Gallery at Marina Square in Morro Bay, CA.  I have made only a small portion in Black & White or monotone.  Some subjects seem to translate better in this medium.

Follow Me

This was taken at the south end of the bay across from the Golf Course in Morro Bay.  The path seems to whisper "Follow Me".  Someone said they could almost see the bread crumbs on the path.   I work with Nik software to obtain the final image.  Hopefully the final image looks like what I was seeing and feeling at the time.  I use Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 for my black and white images.

Girasole Sunrise
I have been privileged and blessed to live in the southern end of San Luis Obispo, in what is known as Edna, CA.
I have been taking photos out here for years and consider it my special place.  There is so much out here I could and might do a display just on my street and close by area.  The sunflowers were volunteering in the field across the street from my home.  I tried my hand at bringing color back in to just the sunflowers.  It lends itself well for some images, but not all.  I think, for this one, a personal favorite does it well.

There is history out here...so another blog in the future

Enjoy

Gallery Exhibit for August 2013

An update after being absent from here for awhile.
Just busy preparing for Featured Artist at Gallery at Marina Square in Morro Bay, Ca for the month of August.

I will share some of the images I am displaying.  I say some, because I have gotten out of the blog habit.  Like I said, busy with work and prepping.

A mixture of Black & White, macro and ocean, beach scenes.

Approaching Storm
I decided to put up  images that have caught my eye for different reasons.  The one above was taken in Morro Bay in November last year.  The rain was quickly coming our way and I took some shots before I shielded my camera under my jacket and headed back to the car.  I liked the moodiness that the Black & White lends.

Breeze Sweeping

Just North of the Rock, there are dunes.  I absolutely love where I live.  And those that know me, know that the ocean and beach draw me in like no other place.

I hope you will enjoy my sharing with you.
Please feel free to leave comments, I would love to hear from you and know what you think.

30 Days of Thanksgiving | Day 13

Tuesday, day 13 of thanks

Frustrating day

but still thankful for the knowledge of others
I do not know how to fix my computer and software
and hopefully tomorrow will have good results

Thankful knowing that when my husband walks through the door, soon, life will "feel" good
and the cares of the day can subside for awhile

Thankful for the peace and quiet

Thankful for food in the frig to prep for dinner

Thankful that we are healthy and can eat that which we can prepare

Thankful for patience

30 Days of Thanksgiving | Day 3

Morro Rock Under Sunset Skies
Only the third day into the challenge and I about blow it.... (insert hang head)

Big sigh

How is it life just gets busier the older you get???

Working on some new images to put in the gallery and maybe some other places as well, I get carried away and then ... poof ... time ... is ... gone ...

So, before I totally forget, here goes for today.

Thankfulness for:

A safe delivery of mom back home and us back to our home.

The chance to work on some images...always makes me smile.

Seeing and hugging our daughter and my sister...two talented photographers.

Mexican Food, woop  woop!! (back to being good today)

a drive into the country to see weavers at work, wow!

Sun Down...

And you, my friend?

Gallery at Marina Square Morro Bay Artist Reception May 11th, 2012

Just wanted to post some photos from last nights reception at the Gallery at Marina Square in Morro Bay, CA.
We had a great time socializing with many local artists, visitors and the local community.

Bill Sima and I were the featured artists for the evening with our work being showcased for the month.
The Guest Artist was Joyce Wycoff with her colorful and whimsical work. I love the striped stockings!

Me "Cat" & Bill Sima

The bacon wrapped almond stuffed dates and the best ever spinach dip were a hit.

Thanks to those who came by to say hi and support myself and gallery.

My hubby was the photog for the evening and took some great shots.
And he showed up with red roses, ;).  My biggest cheerleader.

My Biggest Supporter
Thanks to everyone out there for your support and encouragement, it means the world to me.

If you are ever in the area, please stop by.  I only work one Sunday a month and that floats.  Feel free to comment, would love to hear from you.

Gallery At Marina Square Morro Bay, CA

Gallery Preview
I am excited to share with you the showing of my prints at Gallery at Marina Square in Morro Bay, CA.

I am sharing the featured artist spot with Bill Sima, another photographer at the gallery.

We, Angela & I, spent the morning setting up with the helpful staff/artists of the Gallery and the owner, Jane.
It has been allot of work but worth the effort.

There will be an artists reception, open to the public on May 11th, a Friday evening.  If you are in the area, come on by, it would be great to see you.

PS...I will be working in the Gallery on May 13th, Sunday all day.
