Day 30 TDOT

For Rent
And an end to the challenge of TDOT
I may not have met each day, but it always brings to the forefront the many things I have to be thankful for.
It has been simple this year, sometimes repetitive, but it is what it is.
A good exercise for all year.  But normally, in the past, it was in a journal.
I know for all of us, life is a journey through ups and downs, no exceptions.
But the common thread through the month of thankfulness is...family, first and foremost...and my friends
My posts will not be daily, but I will continue to share my journey through my photos, which always tell a story in itself.
Rainy Day Reflections
I wish for all who choose to read my ramblings, blessings in the coming days and throughout the next year.

Day 22 TDOT

22 Days into November and Thirty Days of Thanksgiving

Morning Star
First, where has the month gone?  Next week is Thanksgiving and already thoughts of Christmas have infiltrated the season.  There are more people putting up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving that it seems to be getting lost in the fray.  I find myself thinking how/when am I going to decorate, shop....blah blah blah

The sad part is I used to relish this time of year to catch a breath before Christmas and its chaos, oh my, now I sound like the grinch.

But as I approach the yearend, it is a mixture of joy, fun, family but mixed with a yearend of requirements for yearend have to's in the business world.  And this year, it is complicated.

So, it is more important to me than ever to catch the here and now of what I am thankful for.  Because the unknown future and the anticipation of what could be is more than I can/want to look at.

So, this is without a doubt the longest verbiage I have used since the beginning of the month, my apologies for the rambling.  Thanks for hanging with me, if you even got this far.

I AM thankful for...
weekends
music
holding hands
date nights
a clean house
time on the weekends to catch up or explore
family, even the ones that come with drama
fall and the clear cool air filled with dramatic color
a husband who loves me even though...
my children, a great gift

I'm done....see you tomorrow

TDOT Day 1

Lined Up and Ready
Today is the beginning of the TDOT "challenge".  I have been doing this for the last 3 (?) years on my blog.  Yet, for years I have journaled entries of what I am thankful for.  At times it comes easy, other times I have to search a bit deeper.  From I see from others, this is not uncommon.  So when TDOT came about through my daughter Angela and her blog, I decided to join in.  If for no other reason than to remind myself of the wonder all around me.
Join me/us if you like, or just read from time to time and perhaps you can do the same.

1...first and foremost, my family.  My husband, our daughter and son in law, our son
2...music
3...the colors of fall, my favorite season!

and that is the start
I'll be back tomorrow!

TDOT is almost here!

TDOT
is almost here!

Thirty Days of Thanksgiving starts November 1st.
What will you be thankful for this year?

It is a personal challenge for me to this daily for the month of November, especially since my blogging has become very rusty and very infrequent.
I am inviting you join me and many others that do this annually and be challenged on a daily basis.

Sometimes it comes easily, sometimes...not so much.  If you join, I would love to know so that I can see yours as well.
Message me and let me know.

If you click on over to

she will explain it all if you wish to participate.
